Dr Rad is an infectious diseases specialist with an M.D. degree in medicine since 2002. He has published his first book about SARS disease in 2003 when SARS become a pandemic. His book was sponsored by centre of disease control and prevention (C.D.C) of Iran as the major reference of the country in this field and was published in 2000 copies for distribution in public teaching hospitals for free.

Dr Rad has experience of working with culturally diverse community as he worked in overseas refugee health centres with Iraqi, Afghan, Uzbek and Tajik people.

His main area of interest is exotic infectious diseases and also infections secondary to multi-resistant organisms including mycobacterial infections, brucellosis, parasitic infections such as leishmaniosis, fungal infections and viral hepatitis.

He consults around the Eastern region and has admission rights in Knox, Ringwood, Mitcham, Bellbird, The Valley, Waverley & St John of God Berwick Private hospitals.
